Catalyst Project is a center for political education and movement building based in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are committed to anti-racist work in majority white sections of left social movements with the goal of deepening anti-racist commitment in white communities and building multiracial left movements for liberation. We are committed to creating spaces for activists and organizers to collectively develop relevant theory, vision and strategy to build our movements. Catalyst programs prioritize leadership development, supporting grassroots fighting organizations and multiracial alliance building.

The Anne Braden Anti-Racist Training Program For White Social Justice Activists
This 4 month political education and leadership development program is designed to support the vision, strategy, and organizing skills of white activists in becoming accountable, principled anti-racist organizers building multiracial movements for justice.

Thank you so much to all of you who were at the Closing Ceremony and Celebration of the Anne Braden Anti-Racist Training Program. It was a magnificent event with nearly 300 people coming together to celebrate the 33 participants, along with mentors, volunteer site supervisors and all of you who helped make the program a reality. We were excited to have so many family members and friends in the room. |

Catalyst Project has been serving on the National Committee of the War Resisters League since 2005. Over the past year, the War Resisters League, one of the oldest anti-militarist, anti-authoritarian national peace organizations in the U.S., has been interviewing grassroots organizations around the country to draw lessons on key questions for building effective, dynamic, movements to end the occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan while advancing economic, racial, gender and social justice. |
